Plumeria are one of the most used flowers for flower leis in Hawaii. the fragrance is Heavenly .  They grow very well in the balmy tropical weather. the flowers are also worn on the ear of the women there.  ( A little tip when you are in Hawaii and wish to wear a flower on your ear, if you are single place the flower on the right ear, if in a relationship wear it on the left.. how you remember is think wedding ring,  wedding rings are worn on the left hand.. 🙂  easy to remember that way
